June 30 Sarah Beckett Memorial Scholarship: The Capital Regional District (CRD) Traffic Safety Commission awards a scholarship of up to $2000 to a youth who lives in the CRD and is beginning or continuing studies towards a career in law enforcement. June 30: June Callwood Harmony Scholarships Ten awards of $1000 each are awarded each year to Canadian students entering post-secondary. Students must be active in combating racism and/or discrimination in their schools. Priority will be given to applicants who identify as members of visible minorities, low-income households, recent immigrants, and/or having experienced systemic barriers based on their identity. Students who are related to military members are preferred, but it is not required. There is NO requirement applicants be related to members of the legion or the military. The criteria looked for are academic achievement and community service.
